March 2006 Regular Meeting Agenda Item #17 Item Title C-20 2005-2006 Proclamation endorsing Juvenile Justice Week, March 13-17, 2006 (Revised) Issue/Rationale The Department of Juvenile Justice has established March 13-17, 2006 as Juvenile Justice Week.  All counties are encouraged to do their part in educating the public regarding the need for a collective community efforts to reduce and erase juvenile crime in the State of Florida.  Representation from the Clay County School Board, the Superintendent, and other members of the Clay County School Board staff are actively involved in the Clay County Juvenile Justice Council.  They work with other members of the Council to provide the Juvenile Justice Region an opportunity to recognize Juvenile Justice Week through various activities. Recommended Action Approve the 2005-2006 Proclamation endorsing Juvenile Justice Week, March 13-17, 2006 as submitted. Financial Impact None.
